Burberry Spring 2011 RTW

Images: nymag.com

Omg I am in love, such a strong, cohesive yet innovative collection. Dying over the metallic silver moto jacket, and the studded sand moto jacket in particular, but would pretty much kill to own any/all of these pieces. Love the structure of the pieces, the random highlights of bright colors, quited textures, and slithery python print, and of course the hybrid leather jacket/trench coat brilliance.

Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 RTW

Images: nymag.com

Oh man I love me some Marc Jacobs, and this collection only furthers my love for this man. His Spring 2011 RTW collection is all retro vibed, funky, berry hued, oversized accessoried out and I am LOVING it! Mixing chiffons and satins, chunky strappy (sometimes embellished platforms) and throwing in the causal eyelet perforated or striped piece is setting a delicious all 70s scent and I am salivating over it! I love the way he cuts his pieces, he really knows how to dress women, which is just causing my mind to scheme ways to acquire all of the pictured pieces into my wardrobe for this spring. I love that he is making a bold step away from the generally pastel muted and neutral palate that has been all too common for spring collections and incorporting saturated heavy hues and even metallic gold. Yum yum yummy!

In other news I just purchased a flip cam hd video recorder and tripod and I am anxiously waiting for it's arrival. Be prepared for vlog overload once I have it in my possession! Stay tuned :)

Waiting On...

Vintage Moschino Belt scooped up off Ebay

Images via: Nordstrom, Nasty Gal, Ebay & Amazon

A few of my recent acquisitions to help aid in the fall/summer wardrobe transition, with plans for many more. Still on my list:
  • The perfect throw over everything ankle length cardi/coat hybrid, practically in a black cotton knit, or more interestingly in burgundy velvet
  • High waisted leopard print denim shorts
  • Oversized black & grey abstract pattern scarf
  • Camel color coat/cape
  • Black closed toed wedges perhaps these?
  • The perfect shearling coat
  • These black riding/cowboy boots
  • Leatherette leggings
  • And these amazing Isabel Marant ko pants
I actually keep a running tally of my "must have" clothing list on my phone, in addition to several others. Does any one else do that haha? And even if you don't, what's on your fall shopping list? New vlog coming...sometime this week? Hopefully!!

Happy Labor Day!

With Southern California firmly in the throws of summer (better late than never right?) and fall fashion starting to infiltrate stores & editorials everywhere it's safe to say that my fashion focus is confused and divided. Right now I'm dressing in a mismosh of pieces layering as the temperatures change from day to night, sunny to overcast and of course bracing myself against the elements once I find the perfect balance.

Crop Tops & First Fall Acquisitions

Check out my new vlog featuring my key summer piece: crop tops, and how I plan on transitioning them to fall! I'm in the middle of testing out mediums (this time I used my canon powershot instead of my iphone) so please excuse the video quality!

Wearing: Lush tribal print top, Forever 21 High Waisted Shorts, Jeffrey Campbell Nation Booties

Here are two more pieces that I ordered online from Forever 21 that didn't make it onto the vlog

I've really been craving a pair of leopard/cheetah print flat ankle boots but until I find the perfect pair these will do! I'm picturing them with dresses and high waisted leather shorts and nude/soft colored tops for now, and with liquid leggings and once again those leather shorts with tights under and saturated hues for fall. I am really loving the styling on F21 right now, I feel like it gives a more honest, in-depth depiction of what the pieces truly look like.

Emmys 2010

Hi there, I hope everyone had a great weekend! It's that time of year again, the Emmys are upon us and here are some of my favorite looks at the Emmys this year. Images via zimbio

Kelly Osbourne whose body is looking sick in Tony Ward.

Eva Longoria, who is a consistent red carpet favorite of mine in Robert Rodriguez.

Anna Pacquin in Alexander McQueen. While I am drooling over this dress I wish they would have put someone more statuesque in it, I would have loved to see Heidi Klum wearing this instead of the ho-hum black mini she was wearing. I feel like this dress is wearing Anna as opposed to Anna wearing the dress but overall definitely a stunning choice.

Claire Danes in Armani Prive. I think this dress was an excellent choice for her. She is glowing!

Sofia Vergara in Carolina Herrera - completely gorgeous!

Nina Dobrev in Zuhair Murad. She is so beyond pretty it makes my teeth hurt.

Dianna Agron in Carolina Herrara, the lace detailing on this gown is so intricate and simply beautiful.

Lea Michele looking fierce in Oscar de la Renta

And finally January Jones who hands down has my vote for Best Dressed wearing Versace. Not only is this dress unique and breathtaking, it looks like it was made for her. Everything from her hair to her skin compliments the dress perfectly and I think that overall she just exudes confident and beauty.

Ah I just love the Emmys! There were definitely a lot of great dresses this year it was so hard for me to edit this post. There was a strong presence of chic simple gowns taken to the next level with sharp doses of texture. Such a delectable way to transform classic silhouettes into modern statement-makers without diminishing the elegance of the understated or creating something overly ostentatious.

On a different note I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed my vlog I will definitely be filming/ posting another segment sometime this week so stayed tuned!

My First Vlog!

Hey guys! Check out the video I just posted, a little introduction about myself and my style, as well as a sneak peak into my shoe collection.

Let me know if you guys have any requests and I'd love to hear your feedback.

Along with the video, here is the outfit I described

Sorry for the crappy quality it was taken with my iphone. I'm wearing the F21 ko Mius Mius, Piko 1988 tunic converted into a dress, with an Urban Outfitters Blazer and a black scarf from Nordstrom.
